Understanding GEO
What's the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO aims to rank your pages in Google's results. GEO aims to get your brand cited in AI-generated answers. The two complement each other: a poorly crawled or poorly indexed page is unlikely to be cited, and a well-ranked page isn't necessarily picked up by an AI if it doesn't answer the question clearly.
What is an AI answer engine?
An AI answer engine responds directly to a question with written text instead of displaying a list of links. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Overviews are examples. Most cite the sources they used.
Will GEO replace SEO?
No. AI engines rely largely on crawled and indexed pages. SEO remains the entry ticket; GEO optimizes what happens next, when the AI chooses its sources.
How long does it take to get cited by ChatGPT or Perplexity?
Engines that search the web in real time, like Perplexity, ChatGPT with search or Google's AI Overviews, can pick up a page as soon as it's crawled and indexed, sometimes within a few weeks. Presence in a model's internal knowledge depends on its training cycles and takes longer. I measure both separately.
Can anyone guarantee appearing in AI answers?
No. Nobody controls an AI model's answers, and any promise of guaranteed results should raise a red flag. I commit to a method, documented actions and an honest measurement of how your visibility evolves.
Visibility and technical foundations
How can I tell whether ChatGPT already cites my business?
Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini the questions your customers ask, with web search enabled, and record the brands and websites cited. Repeat each question several times, because answers vary. For regular monitoring, use a tool like Vigie or request a GEO audit.
Should I block AI bots to protect my content?
It is a trade-off. Blocking training bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot) or the Google-Extended token limits the use of your content to train models. But if you want to be cited, allow at least the search bots: Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot and PerplexityBot. AI bots
Do you need an llms.txt file to be visible in AI?
It's not essential. Google states that no special file or markup is required to appear in its AI features. An llms.txt doesn't hurt and may help some tools, but it's no substitute for a well-crawled site, clear content or a recognized brand.
My website was built with Lovable, Bolt or another AI tool: can AI engines see it?
Not necessarily. Many AI-generated websites are JavaScript applications that send bots an almost empty page. Recent Lovable projects are server-rendered, while older ones rely on pre-rendering. Check your pages' source code or take the GEO check GEO check.
Does my content need to be written without AI?
No. Google says appropriate AI use does not violate its guidelines and values useful, reliable and original content. To be cited, a text must offer verifiable, new information, whatever tool was used. [1][1] Google Search Central, “Google Search's guidance about AI-generated content”, February 2023
Services and pricing
How much does a GEO audit cost?
My GEO audit starts at €300 excl. VAT for a single-language brochure site. The price depends on the number of pages, languages and questions to test. You receive a fixed quote after a 30-minute call.
What is the difference between a GEO audit and ongoing support?
The audit is a one-off engagement: it measures your visibility and delivers an action plan. Ongoing support implements that plan every month and measures progress.
Do prices include VAT?
No, they exclude VAT. VAT, or IVA in Spain, applies according to your country and status.
Can the training be in Spanish?
Yes, in French or Spanish, and in English on request, in person or remote.

What happens on the first call?
It is a free 30-minute video call. You introduce your business, I live-test a few questions from your market in AI engines and tell you where to start. If we decide to work together, I then send you a fixed quote.
